If words can change the crystal
What have your words done to me?

You showed me the experiment
You showed me the proof
Beautiful crystals
For beautiful truth

Broken and jagged
For anger and hate
You believed every photo
You set every plate

Don't curse the water
It remembers every word
Don't curse the water
It changes what you were

And if you believe
That water holds the sound
Then what did your words do
To the man you found?

I am not a molecule
I am not a test
But I carried every sentence
I held it in my chest

You trusted the science
When it suited your sight
But you looked away
When the water was my life

Don't curse the water
It remembers every word
Don't curse the water
It changes what you were

Can bitter and sweet
Come from the same spring?
Can a fig tree bear olives?
Can a broken bell ring?

Don't curse the water
Just don't
