007-03

I don’t cook anymore
I cover the pot

Heat stays
Fire stays
But I stop feeding it

I do her good
Without creating closeness
I hold love
Without performing it

I put coals on the pot
Not under it

I fake nothing
I demand nothing
I don’t escalate
I don’t simulate promises

I don’t harden because of you
I don’t harden toward you
I don’t harden with you

I don’t deny my love
Not to you
Not to myself
But not with you

Hunger stays hunger
Thirst stays thirst

The effect
Is not my assignment

Corbula
Measure, not fire
Love for
Not love with
