015-06

Not where I thought I'd stand
Not where I planned the end
Not the life I drew in pencil
When the road still had a bend

But somewhere older
Somewhere truer
Somewhere I was meant
Before the mess began

Restored
Not to what I was
To what was always meant

Restored
Not by what I did
By sheer generosity

A pure gift
A pure gift

The record stands
I can't erase it
Long and sorry
Every line

But something happened
In our time
What Moses pointed to
Arrived

He got us out
Not around
Not above
Out

Through the mess
Into standing
Right standing
With him

Restored
To where he always
Wanted me to be

A pure gift
A pure gift
