1Lord, how many rise against me now
How many stand as enemies
2I love you, O Lord
My strength
3So many say of me aloud
God will not save him
4The Lord is my rock
My fortress
My deliverer
5But you, O Lord, are all around me
A shield for me, my honor lifted high
You raise my head
6The cords of death encompassed me
The torrents of chaos overwhelmed me
7I cry out to the Lord
And from his holy mountain he answers me
8In my distress I called upon the Lord
From his temple he heard my voice
My cry for his help reached his ears
9I lie down and sleep
I wake again
For the Lord sustains me
10He reached down from on high
He took hold of me
He drew me out of deep waters
11I will not fear the myriads
Set against me on every side
12He brought me out into the open
13Rise up, O Lord
Save me, my God
14For you, O Lord, light my lamp
My God lights up my darkness
15Salvation belongs to the Lord
May your blessing rest upon your people
