026-01

I brought her shapes
Light things, made by hand
Nothing alive
And yet not nothing

I thought of form
Of help, of giving
But she saw more
Than I had seen

What stays hidden
She does not hide
What feels fragile
She does not shame

She puts gold
On the inside

What others cover
She lets shine

Not for beauty
Not for pride

She puts gold
On the inside

A heart, a lung
The weight of living
The parts that work
Without a voice

What carries life
What bears the burden
What takes the pain
And still goes on

What stays broken
She does not break
What has been wounded
She does not waste

She puts gold
On the inside

What others cover
She lets shine

Not for beauty
Not for pride

She puts gold
On the inside

I brought her forms
She made them witness

I brought her matter
She gave it honour

I brought her pieces
She made them stay

And I could see it
Quiet and clear

For her
Even the hidden
Has dignity
