041-04

You must have sinned, there is no doubt
God punishes the wicked, casts the righteous out
Repent, my brother, confess your hidden crime
Then surely mercy will return in time

We have seen it before, the pattern is clear
The Lord blesses the pure, destroys those who veer
Your children are gone, your body in pain
It must be judgment, not some random chain

The Lord is just, His ways are right
If you suffer, you have earned the night
Confess, submit, and bow your head
Then God will raise you from the dead

They speak, but they do not know
They comfort with lies, they weigh with scales of sand
They have never sat where Job now sits

You are miserable comforters, all of you
If only you could feel what I feel

And so the friends of Job comfort him with wind
