070-09

Before there was a world
To be chosen from
You were already
In the plan
Planned
Named
Wanted
Before the first morning

This power has a name problem
It has been claimed
By thrones and banners
By armies marching
Under borrowed light

But look at the evidence
The proof of this power
Is not thunder
Not conquest
Not a crowd on its knees
The proof of this power
Is an empty grave

You were wanted before time
Not for what you would achieve
Not for what you would avoid
Wanted
Because love decided early

Adoption is not a test
You passed
It is a decision
Someone else made
In love
Long before you could apply

The highest seat in the universe
Is held by someone
With scars in his hands
That is the measure
Of the power

Not by the sword
By the morning
After the tomb
