And behind the gift
There is a plan
Not a secret to exclude you
A secret now told

Nothing stays scattered
Everything in heaven
Everything on earth
Every broken piece
Every loose end
Gathered up
Into one whole
Not erased
Gathered

In Christ
I am not left outside
There is a place for me
Within a larger plan
Not invent
Find

My life is not
A loose thread
It has a place in a pattern
I did not have to weave

The fragments are not
Swept away
Like debris
They are picked up
One by one
Because each of them
Belongs somewhere

Not the failed years
Not the broken threads
Not you

You can only discover
Who you are
If you already are someone
The search does not create you
It uncovers you

And a found life
Does what found things do
It shines a little
Glad to be
Picked up
