073-11

Before there was a world
To be chosen from
You were already
In the plan

Not a stray
Taken in reluctantly
Not a late addition
To a finished house
Planned
Named
Wanted
Before the first morning

How it happened
Was not complicated
You heard
You trusted
You stepped in

And then
A mark
Quiet
Inward
The Spirit
Saying softly
This is real

You were wanted before time
Not for what you would achieve
Not for what you would avoid
Wanted
Because love decided early

That is the ground floor
Everything else
Is built on this

I hold a seal
A down payment
A promise
With a signature

So I walk
With sealed hands
Not full ones
And that is
Honest ground
It carries
