This Contemporary Christian Pop reading of Matthew 6 carries that word into Paul's language of adoption in Romans 8 and Galatians 4 — a Father close enough for a stranger to address. The bridge briefly touches the same word on the road to the cross before the song returns to the nearness it opened with.

The same short prayer moves into an intimate Indo-Thai arrangement — acoustic guitar, bamboo flute, sitar — as if sung from a bench outside a small chapel. Abba Elohim: not a distant throne, but a Father who lets a stranger speak His name. One quiet word changes the whole distance between heaven and a human voice.

Stripped back to a near-whisper, this variation follows the moment someone first dares to say the word Abba. There is no grand vocabulary here, only the permission Jesus gave in Matthew 6 — the same permission Paul later names as adoption in Romans 8 and Galatians 4. The chorus stays small, because a prayer's first word usually is.

A distant church organ answers instead of leading, so the song reads less like a proclamation than a permission granted. The narrator has stood outside the wall for a long time before finally speaking the one word he was always allowed to say. The organ's wordless hum functions as the "yes" a hesitant prayer is waiting for.

Isaiah's image of the potter and the clay meets the same Abba-prayer: the God called Elohim over the heavens is the same hand shaping the ground. Nothing here is anthem — pan flute, nylon guitar, a soft hand-drum — just the quiet claim that the hand in the clay and the Father near enough to call Abba are one and the same hand.

The same short prayer returns in a fuller, more anthemic live arrangement, carrying the cross-ward bridge of Mark 14 alongside the adoption language of Romans 8 and Galatians 4. This is the oldest recording in the set, staged as a live chapter rather than a studio take, and deliberately kept as the album's closing layer rather than re-recorded to match the newer five.
